At Drottningholm's castle theater, William has played the role of Paolino in Il matrimonio segreto by Cimarosa. William also sang at Princess Madeleine and Christopher O’Neill’s wedding party at Drottningholm Castle during the same period, closely followed by a season with the Scanian Opera where he played Conte Almaviva in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia. In the summer of 2016, William returns to Malmö and the Scanian Opera to portray Prince Don Ramiro in Cinderella by Rossini.

Prince William Baker represents an unusual type of voice: light timbre, breathtaking tones, flexibility. Rossini pushed the boundaries of what can be done. It has not been easier since then. Baker has promising conditions. The prince can be king. His talent must be nurtured tenderly and carefully. The youthful apparition is dressed for an emotional prince on suitor's straw.

Sydsvenskan, Carlhåkan Larsén, 1 august 2016

Everything was performed with feeling, tone certainty and a fantastically beautiful voice. Considering his young age, 30 years, he has had an impressive career.

SevallaNytt, Anna Nilsson, july 2015

Williams' stage habit and voice enchanted everyone. The solo numbers were of the highest class.

SevallaNytt, Gunnar Andersson, february 2017

The coloraturas sit like a charm and the tenor William Baker climbs in the tone skies without slipping even into the highest. This is really an opera singer on G.
